Court Remands A Man In Custody For Stabbing His Mother During A Heated Argument In Adamawa

A 22-year-old man who stabbed his mother has been ordered to be kept in custody by a Chief Magistrate Court in Yola, Adamawa State.

On September 12, 2022, following a heated disagreement that turned physical, the defendant, Ibrahim Umar of Michika Local Government Area in Northern Adamawa, stabbed his mother, Hajiya Lami Mallum, in the face with a knife.

The victim who was injured and taken to the General Hospital Michika is still receiving care.

Inspector S.S. Nicholas presented the offender for arraignment before Chief Magistrate Buba on Monday, September 19.

When the First Information Report (FIR) was read to him, he entered a plea of guilty to the charge against him.

The defendant was remanded by the court, which Mohammed Buba presided over, and the case was postponed to October 18, 2022.
