The House of Representatives led by Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, today, September 29, had a meeting with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
Several important personalities were at the meeting such as the Secretary General of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige and heads of The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
Others include the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, Director General Budget Office of the Federation, and ASUU members.
Salemgists gathered that the meeting was aimed towards resolving the prolonged ongoing ASUU strike.
The house of representatives confirmed the meeting in a statement released this evening, the statement reads:
“House of Representatives led by Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila resumes the peace parley with Members of ASUU today. Also in attendance are the Minister of labour, Head of Service, DG budget office, among others.”
The meeting is aimed at bringing the protracted ASUU strike to an end.”
