A small passenger plane carrying 11 people crashed in a forest in central Cameroon on Wednesday and rescue efforts are underway to locate possible survivors, the transport ministry said.
It is believed that the plane lost radio contact after a storm hit the capital in the afternoon. It crashed in the forest of Nanga Eboko in the Centre Province.
Sources say the crash occured around Upper Sanaga in the Centre Region of Cameroon.
Among the passengers were workers of the Cameroon Oil Transportation Company, COTCO.
