Two Suspected Mobile Phone Thieves Arrested In Jigawa

Operatives of the Jigawa State police command have arrested two suspects who specialize in stealing mobile phones in the state.

The development was disclosed in a statement by the spokesperson of the police command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam.

He said on Wednesday, August 3, that the suspects were arrested following a report made by the owner of the stolen phone.

He stated:

“On 01/08/2022 at about 2345hrs, one Isa Ya’u ‘m’ age 25yrs of Ruwa Dawa village Jahun LGA reported that, he boarded motor vehicle with one Sani Lawan ‘m’ age 40yrs of Dantanoma Quarters Gumel LGA and Jamilu Abdullahi ‘m’ age 28yrs of Gezawa LGA Kano State from Shuwarin to Gujungu town, on reaching at Ruwa Dawa village, he discovered that his android phone estimated value at forty thousand naira (#40, 000.00k) has been stolen while in the vehicle.”

“During the course of investigation, the suspects confessed that they criminally conspired and engaged in picking pocket (sane) from one market to another within Jigawa State

“The suspects will be charged to court to face the full wrath of the law upon completion of investigation.”
