Ajax and Manchester United have struck an agreement for Antony’s move, which is pending a medical exam, the completion of the player’s contracts, and international clearance.
The 22-year-old Brazilian winger became the joint-fourth most expensive acquisition in the English Premier League (EPL) after the EPL powerhouse agreed to a fee of £81.3 million for him.
Antony joins Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Tyrell Malacia as the club’s sixth summer additions. He joins Erik Ten Hag, the new manager of Manchester United, and defender Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.
In 134 club appearances for Ajax and Sao Paulo, Antony has scored 31 goals and registered 27 assists. He also has two goals and two assists in nine senior appearances for his native Brazil.
In addition to a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics, he has won two Eredivisie championships.
