Mahsa Amini: Iranian Lady, Hananeh Kian, Shot Dead During Protest Over The Death Of A Woman In Police Custody

A 23-year-old lady identified as Hananeh Kian was shot dead yesterday during the protests which took place in Iran.

The deceased is one of countless casualties in the fight for freedom, human rights and democracy in Iran.

Salemgists reported that the protest erupted in Iran after the death of Mahsa Amini who had been arrested by the morality police.

Protests first erupted over the weekend in the northern province of Kurdistan, from where Amini originated, but have now spread across the country.

Iran Human Rights (IHR) director Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam said in a statement that at least 31 civilians have been killed in a crackdown by the Iranian security forces on protesters.

Earlier, Kurdish rights group Hengaw said 15 people had been killed in Kurdistan province and other Kurdish-populated areas of the north of Iran, including eight on Wednesday night.
