Police in Koibatek area of Baringo County are investigating an incident in which a young woman
was brutally killed by her husband in a suspected love triangle.
Gladys Jepkorir, a mother of four, was reportedly stabbed to death by her husband after he found
her with another man in a brothel in Kapyemit.
A police report indicates that the irked man stabbed his wife in her private parts and the neck,
killing her on the spot.
The woman is said to have been on a drinking spree with the man in an unlicensed bar before
retiring to the brothel which is part of the bar business.
The incident – being one of many other similar incidents in the area – led to demonstrations by esidents who demanded the relevant authorities to shut down drinking dens in the area.
